Some people find the comments section in vTiger rather annoying, because if you are not using it – it just takes up your valuable screen space. By Default there is no way to disable or enable the comment section on any module. In order to remove or add the comment block you will have to use a custom script which will either activate or deactivate the “ModComments” section. Let’s say if you would want to remove comments section from Leads views, you would:

Hey, great stuff 🙂
although, there is a Typo in activation for quotes.
it should be:
$fieldInstance->setRelatedModules(array(‘Quotes’));// Give the Module name for which you want to add comment
$detailviewblock = ModComments::addWidgetTo(‘Quotes’);//Give the Module name for which you want to add comment
The file in “Activate Comments for SalesOrders” is for activation for Projects 🙂
Best regards,
Anze
Thanks! We’ll get that adjusted. We are glad we could help. 🙂
Hi vtiger experts,
I have a close request to this. I require the Comments block to be collapsed on loading a detail view.
Do you have that code availabloe?
Cheers
Bernard
That’s definitely possible however we do not have a public code set for that – I’ll contact you via email and we’ll see what we can do.
