There was no app in the whole VTiger market that could provide 2 – factor authentication ability to login for VTiger users – until now. Secure Login or Enhanced Security for VTiger users is the extension that adds several extra layers of security to your VTiger. It allows to put several restrictions to keep it secure, as well as keep tabs of the failed attempts to login. You can study the features of Secure Login extension for VTiger 7 here. It gives you day, week, and month views in a way that events and tasks do not overlap and become very easy to manage. With the latest update of the extension Job Scheduler or Advanced Calendar for VTiger, it allows you to edit and configure the information that is shown by default on an event or task block as well as when you hover your mouse cursor over it. You can insert some default text, map fields from the events and tasks, and configure them with the rich text editor according to your needs. It also allows you to map fields from the related modules. The Complete Record Timeline/Summary (Communication + Updates) extension, shortly known as Timeline is now available for all version of VTiger 6. Previously it only supported VTiger 7 and above. The extension is extremely beneficial to quickly see any communication (emails, calls, comments) as well as record updates. It rolls up the information from 3 relationship level deeps, meaning if you are viewing organization timeline, you will see any information related to organization (emails, updates, comments) as well as any information related to organizations’ tickets/opportunities (or any other modules), meaning that you would see any comments added to the ticket/organization while looking at the organization timeline. Currently, the VTiger Standard Calendar is very limited and missing lot of basic functionalities. We have created several extensions to date which enhance the use of Calendar, making it more intuitive and helpful for users. Our extension Calendar Popup/Preview allows users to quickly preview the information without leaving the Calendar. It also displays linked records such as Contact, Organization, Lead, Ticket, Opportunities, and Campaigns. We’ve recently added new feature to our document designer, which allows to create new records in VTiger. It’s very similar to how our update functionality works (If you are familiar). The idea is that user will create a document/form that can be sent to a customer or any other email or even placed online i.e your website and when the form gets filled out – the record will get automatically created in VTiger. It’s similar to webform functionality, however it’s more powerful that that, because it supports all standard and custom modules as well as links back new record to parent record e.g organization (if configured/sent properly). Simple Example: create custom form and place it on your website for new signups (lead/contact information will flow directly into VTiger). Advanced Example: create custom form that you can send to your customers for tickets/support requests, data gathering. The form can be created
There’s a productivity centered extension Activity Reminder (Popup) for VTiger that gives reminders similar to Outlook. The reminder popup shows up automatically when the activity is due and displays current day’s activities with basic details such as subject, description, related to (contact, lead, organization, etc..) as well as Due In. We recently gave it a major upgrade and added the “Actions” button as a column to the reminder popup. Previously, those actions buttons were only accessible when you go to calendar > specific activity > and hover your mouse over it. With the Activity Reminder (popup) extension, now users can edit, mark as done, and delete any activities without the need to visit the actual activity in the Calendar. When you open the reminder popup (extension button at the top right – needs the extension to be installed), you will see this new column named “Action”. The action buttons
We added a simple but extremely useful feature to our Summary Widgets extension. As you can add “Comments” widgets to Summary view to the records of any modules with VTE Summary Widgets, this feature allows you to SHOW or HIDE the individual comments in VTiger 7 also supported in VTiger 6. For example, if you open a record and see a long comment in the “Comments” section (created by Summary Widgets extension) How to Show Hide Comments Click on the “Hide” button to hide the comment. For the last few months we’ve been working on a new extension that will transform VTiger into sophisticated email marketing/campaign tool. The extension will include a step by step wizard, easy to use “marketing list” (to load contacts/leads/organizations), review & send + confirmation/summary view that will show exactly what and when is going to be sent. In addition, it will support batch sending, meaning that you can schedule emails to go out over 15, 30, 60min instead of sending them all at once. We also integrated Mosaico template builder with our campaign/marketing tool. Mosaico is an open source template builder which allows users to create amazing email templates, the functionality is very similar to mailchimp, constant contact or any other email marketing platform. We have been actively working on our next major extension release – VTiger 7 & QuickBooks Online Integration and would like to share our progress with the community. So far, we completed sync of customers (organization/contact) and products/service as well as built the engine for logs, quickbooks queue and graphical user interface. We are excited to introduce new extension to our VTiger Extension Pack! The extension was designed to export lists/filters into excel. As you probably know, standard Support for VTigers exports to .csv, however .csv files can be messy, hard to manipulate and the formatting does not always save. Our List Export to XLS VTiger extension, not only exports data to XLS files, but also only includes columns that are selected in the list, unlike .csv – it exports all the columns and kind of defeats the purpose of export. It supports all custom and standard VTiger modules and is now available for anyone with extension pack subscription!. VTiger Table Block extension will no longer be supported in VTiger 7.x. Table block has a lot of limitations such as no way of creating filters, including in reports, exporting/import and permissions. Instead, it will be replaced with combination of “Related Blocks/Lists” and “Custom Module Builder“.
