Google Drive Integration for VTiger makes it very easy to access documents stored on Google Drive without leaving from the VTiger CRM. It fully integrates the two applications, by assigning Google Drive folders to VTiger records.

How to Integrate VTiger 7 with Google Drive

• Links to be Used during Configuration

• Go to Main Menu >> Settings >> CRM Settings >> Extensions List >> Google Drive Integration. After the install and first visit, you’ll be asked to download and install the “Google Api PHP Client”. Simply hit the “Download” button and it will automatically download and place the file at the required path.
• Enable Google Drive Integration, Click to Enable Google Drive Integration, Upload Client Secret File.

• Open the google console for developers – link: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/credentials/
• It will prompt to login with an account from which you need the Google Drive files. Select “Create” on the select or create a project

• Enter a project name and hit “Create”. It will take couple of minutes and create the new project.

• Now create “APIs Credentials”. Click the “Create Credentials” button. You will see several options. Select “OAuth Client ID”. This is important

• Click “Configure Consent Screen”. Simply enter a Product name and hit “Save” and
• Application type: select “Web Application”

• “Name”: Enter your company name to the field

• “Restrictions” >> “Authorized JavaScript origins”: Enter your CRM URL. This step is important. You need to enter the CRM URL exactly as it happens to be. Make sure to not miss the “/” at the end of the URL (if there is any).
• Authorized redirect URIs: Enter your_vtiger_url + drive API link. That will make something similar to this: http://demo7.vtexperts.com/googledrive/modules/VTEGoogleDrive/oauth2callback.php (this is just a sample link. It will be different according to your vtiger URL). The drive API link is always modules/VTEGoogleDrive/oauth2callback.php
• Creating the OAuth credentials will give you a popup showing the client ID and client secret. You can save those just in case.
• The newly created credentials will now be available in the list. Download the credentials using the download icon. It will give you the .json file needed to login
• Now go back to the CRM Google Drive Extension configuration. Upload the client secret file.json.That’s it. You are all set to use the Google drive account within the CRM.

• Once you’ve created the .json file, uploaded it to VTiger 7, and enabled the desired modules.
