vTiger CRM is lacking the ability to send email or schedule an event/to-do for the opportunity. We’ve developed the extension which allows you to Send an email to associated Organization as well as schedule Event or To-do for the opportunity.

It’s really helpful to be able to have an event scheduled for the opportunity rather than the Organization. You can also send emails to the Organization from the Opportunity.
