Vtiger 7 is fully customizable and comes with many extensions and integration options. Now our think tank is exactly aware of users’ demands, and we are not forgetting the need of Paypal merchant account integration. So we designed this guide to describe how to configure a Paypal merchant account in the Payments module.

The Paypal Digital Goods Checkout payment method is the solution that enables a user to accept payments via secure Paypal gateway. To receive payments online, you will have to own a functional Paypal Business Account.

Paypal merchant account configuration in Vtiger 7 CRM is not a rocket science:

1. First of all, click on the Menu icon
2. Then browse the Settings and look for Inventory
3. Then select Subscriptions
4. There you can add a new gateway with the help of +Add Gateway button
5. A popup named “Configure Merchant Account” will appear demanding the basic details and credentials required for the login.

Now to receive the Paypal API login information, follow these steps:

1. You will need a Paypal Business Account. If you don’t have an account, it’s easy to sign-up for one. Visit the Paypal website and follow the instructions
2. After signing up, login into Paypal account
3. Then follow this path; Tools > Business Setup > Option A > Select Get your API Credentials
4. Click View API Signature (This signature will be pasted into the CRM credentials input field)
5. Now to receive your API username, password, and signature, click the “Show” button besides each of them
6. Simply copy the login information from this screen and paste into the Add Configuration section of Payment modules in Vtiger 7
7. After filling in all of the required information, press the Save button and you are all good to go
